The Copper Development Association and Canadian Copper & Brass Development Association are accepting submissions for the North American Copper in Architecture Awards. Architects, designers and sheet metal contractors can submit projects featuring copper architectural elements for consideration.
The NACIA Awards program honors exceptional use of architectural copper in new construction and restorations. Architects and contractors should submit projects that demonstrate copper’s versatility and beauty when used in building projects. Projects completed within the past three years in the U.S. or Canada can be submitted.
Judges will evaluate all submissions based on system design, integration of copper alloys, craftsmanship of installation, and excellence in innovation or restoration. A new judging criterion this year will increase focus on green and sustainable building strategies using copper.
Winning projects will receive a citation and copper plaque and will be featured in media outreach, promotional materials and showcases within the copper industry.
