NRCA is seeking the best young roofing talent in the U.S. to represent Team USA at the World Championship for Young Roofers in Budapest, Hungary, in November 2027.

What is IFD?

IFD is a global organization representing the roofing industry and hosts the World Championship for Young Roofers, a prestigious international competition with a 60-year history. Roofing workers ages 28 and younger compete against peers from around the world in one of four disciplines:

  • Slate/tile
  • Low-slope roofing
  • Metal panel
  • Façade

Each Team USA entry consists of:

  • Two competitors
  • One mentor/coach
  • One discipline per team

Team USA first competed in 2024. NRCA is now identifying top talent in the roofing industry to represent the U.S. in 2027.

How to qualify

The Team USA Qualifying Competition will take place on the show floor at the International Roofing Expo.® Two-person teams will compete in one of the selected disciplines.
